And here is outfit no. 2 from my winter capsule. Surprise it’s neutrals 🙂 Just so easy to work with. I did add a little unexpected accessory. My floppy hat.
I love hats. I have loved them since I was a little girl. My family and I always go to a little island in the Gulf of Mexico every summer. And on that island there is a lovely and colorful antiques store. They have shelves and shelves of all sorts of odds and ends. From a suitcase of black and white photographs long forgotten to early additions of LIFE magazine and 70’s dishware. With Bing Crosby playing in the background it is such a wonderful place to explore. Every time we visit I am always drawn to the hats. Cloche hats of the 20’s to Kentucky Derby styles with giant feathers. I love them all. Some day I want to have a small collection of hats displayed on my bedroom wall. But despite my love of hats I never wear them. Sometimes I’ll wear a baseball cap if my hair is in need of a serious washing but other than that…never. So before I create my hat wall art, I have to get used to wearing them and stop feeling so self conscious.
So I will continue my hat hunt and slowly introduce them into my wardrobe.
