Madewell - New Arrivals
It is no secret that I absolutely love this brand. It is all over my blog and I'm not mad about it :) This past Tuesday, Madewell released their second wave of Spring arrivals and I wanted them all. This is where my shopping bug is really being tested. I will admit I caved slightly - no one is perfect. I have started to think about my closet for spring and I have some ideas for the direction I want to go. So with that in mind, I did make a couple purchases from Madewell.
I have a sort of process I guess you could say for when new collections from one of my absolute favorite stores comes out - this might sound insane but bare with me it helps in not overspending.
First I always have a wishlist for the the pieces I love - Madewell has a great wishlist set up where you can see if something is about to go out of stock in your size, if it is backordered or if it is on sale. I then try them on in the store to see what works and what doesn't for me and my body type. Sometimes I can be a little bit in between sizes so instead of buying online and returning I like to try on in store. From there I determine the things I would really be upset over if they ran out of stock in my size. Usually I narrow it down to two or three things. Then the rest I wait for to go on sale. Madewell has some really great sale opportunities if you wait for them.
This shirt was one of those pieces that I couldn't let go and at the store they only had one left in my size! I looooove Madewell's short sleeve button ups and luck me they have them in so many different colors and patterns this year! I was also super drawn to this paisley scarf. I'm not much of a print person but loved the colors in this one and decided it would be a great statement accessory for my upcoming closet - warning you might see it over and over again in the next couple months :)
Top Row (left to right): Military Shirtdress / Denim Raw-Edge Dress / Perfect Summer Jean / Elie Slipper Flat / Savannah Saddlebag / Anais Thong Slide Sandal / Courier Shirt in Orsa Print / Embroidered Lattice Top / Pull-On Shorts in Diamond Dot
Just as an FYI Madewell is actually having a promotion where if you spend $125 you get $25 for your next purchase. Ah, stores and their promotions so bittersweet.
Have a great weekend!
