In my last post I touched on how great it feels to wear an outfit that is completely you. These wide crop jeans are another one of my “where have you been all my life”!
I had my eye on them for a very long time and decided to swap them in - when they went on sale - for my light wash flares that were already in my capsule. I would have gladly used one of my wiggle room spots for them but when doing an inventory of my jeans, I decided that I realistically probably wouldn’t wear two pairs of flares and a wide leg crop jean. Just too much.
I absolutely love the shape of them. They are a bit different, dramatic. But that is why I’m so drawn to them. A different silhouette that works really well on my slightly pear shaped self.
Since it’s all about the shape in this post I’d also like to point out this lovely round market bag that is my new handmade obsession. Another item I have had my eye on for months now - I tend to do that - and finally decided it was worth cost. The basket is handwoven from Morocco which gives each bag a slight variation in color making each bag beautifully unique.
This bag is currently sold out but there are other gorgeous options including the Market Basket Backpack - another one I’m watching as well as the French Market Basket. And you never know these may come back in stock soon!
Outfit: madewell stripe shirt (sold out, similar long sleeve here) / madewell wide leg crop jeans & on sale! (sustainably made option) / murlifestyle basket bag / dv by dolce vita shoes (old, similar here) & these are so cute I just had to share :)
If anyone else is experimenting with wide leg crop jeans/pants I'd love to see what outfits you come up with!
