Happy Saturday & Happy Earth Day! I hope you all are having a lovely weekend so far and have been able to get out and enjoy nature! Yesterday was my hubby’s birthday! We spent the evening with good friends and today we’re having a man-extravaganza! This includes donuts for breakfast, axe throwing (yes it’s a thing), a whiskey distillery tour and some yummy Japanese food! I’ll be honest I’m a little nervous about this axe business. I’m not necessarily clumsy but I’m not sure if I’m confident in my hand, eye, axe coordination. We’ll see!
Onto 10×10 updates 🙂 This is look 5 and I’m now halfway! Behind in timing which I’m just accepting at this point but happy to be halfway! This look was definitely brought out for our random spurt of 80 degrees and does have a more summery vibe. But the dress is just so cute on it’s own that I had to let it shine for one of my looks!
| SHIRT DRESS | – I love the sophistication and simplicity of shirt dresses. They are super easy to throw on and look put together and are even appropriate for work environments. Sometimes I struggle with finding dresses that will work for weekdays and weekends but shirt dresses are able to check both boxes! Here are some other sustainable shirt dresses that I’m loving right now.
| BLACK ACCESSORIES | – again the black band in my hat just screamed to be tied in with my black handbag and now my watch. The repetition is just subtle enough to feel complete and not overpowering. If I had worn black sandals that would have pushed it over the edge for me. It’s like subconscious outfit coordination. Everything looks cohesive without being too matchy matchy. Also the black accessories are a lovely contrast against the white and tan tones.
| BOAT HATS | – I have loved hats since I was little. I rarely wear them but I’m trying to push myself to be a little more adventurous with my accessories. Boat hats are one style that I’ve felt very comfortable wearing and think they are so cute for spring/summer. I’ve linked to some of my other favorites below all from janessa leone. Her hats are both minimal yet unique and are all handmade 🙂
