Almost. Done. Here is look number 8 from spring 10×10! In general I feel that I’m becoming more experimental with my layers. The amount of white in this look makes me a little anxious but overall I love it! Now lets dive into some details 🙂
| TUCKED IN | – if you remember from look 7 I did not tuck in this tank top and I kind of regretted it. Well for this look we went full tuck and I’m very glad I did. The proportions just feel so much better. Funny how a tucked in shirt can drastically change how you feel about a look!
| NATURAL BAG | – if you couldn’t tell, I absolutely love this round market tote from Mur Lifestyle. I’m been very into woven handbags lately and I’m thinking of expanding my collection. I love the organic element it adds to looks and you can find some bags with absolutely beautiful wood tones. Here are some of the bamboo & woven bags that I’ve currently got my eye on.
| SIMILARITIES | – really this look isn’t much different from look 7 (yes, I’m just realizing this now). It has the same bottoms, top & shoes. The only main difference is the cardigan vs the open shirt dress and how I tucked in my shirt. And yet, these looks have completely different vibes. Look 7 feels more safe to me. My tried and true outfit formula growing up (and still a little today) was a cardigan + top + skinny jeans + flat shoe. Look 7 got a little upgrade with the wide leg pants but other than that still pretty basic. While look 8 feels more daring (for me) and much more in line with where I want my style to go. High waist + tucked in top + wide leg + long open layer (insert: shirt dress, duster, coat, etc.) There’s nothing wrong with look 7 but I definitely feel more comfortable in look 8.
outfit: acne studios shirt dress (purchased secondhand, similar from need supply) / rose top from madewell (old, similar from ilana kohn) / jesse kamm sailor pants (size: 6) / everlane modern oxford (size: 7.5) / mur lifestyle round market tote (s/o similar on etsy)
