Yay it’s Thursday and only one more day until the weekend! It’s supposed to warm up for us on Saturday so I’m hoping to get a little sun time and enjoy the nice weather 🙂
Today on the blog, I’m happy to share that I’ve partnered with Vetta to tell you a little about their company , share my three looks that I created with their Swing Dress (which is currently available in their Classic Capsule) and give my honest review! So without further delay let’s dive right in!
Vetta is an ethical brand that creates mini capsule collections which contain exactly 5 pieces.. These 5 pieces can then be mixed and matched to make 30 different outfits. 30! That’s amazing! They also take their commitment to sustainability seriously by producing all of their garments in a family run factory in NYC and they only use environmentally friendly fabrics in their production. These fabrics either come from deadstock (leftover fabric from other manufacturers) or sustainably made fabrics such as tencel. Vetta is so committed to the environment that even their packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. I think my favorite thing about Vetta is that they combine living with less and sustainability. Sometimes it’s hard to dive into both subjects at the same time but with Vetta’s mini capsules you don’t have to pick and choose!
Tip: you can use the code “capsule” to get their entire Classic Capsule for $415. What a steal!
Now here are the three outfits I created with my Swing Dress!
This was the first outfit that came to mind for this dress. Maybe it’s weird that I first thought “ooo what pants can I wear under this?!” but I’m not mad about it. The dress is obviously a more formal piece but the jeans keep it casual and fun. I also decided to wear it with the buttons down the front instead of adding a necklace. It’s a fun detail that you don’t often see so I wanted to make sure it was highlighted! I also love how the navy dress contrasts with the light jeans in the same way the cognac bag is a darker version of my nude sandals. It adds a nice subtle touch of balance to the overall look.
This outfit is probably the more obvious of the three. I love how it focuses on the beauty of the dress by keeping the accessories very minimal and only having my handbag as a pop of color. I’m also loving the monochrome palette. I even threw on my denim duster as an outerwear option and love how it adds a little diversity while still playing in the same color scheme. The overall look is sophisticated but doesn’t feel dated and is perfect for getting dinner or drinks! I’m also loving a cognac and navy combo lately 🙂
The last look is more abstract than the other two but if I have a button down dress I have to try it out as a duster/overcoat! This time I decided to pair it with shorts and a simple white tee and sandals to keep everything on the casual side. By keeping the base fairly simple and cohesive I was able to let the dress shine and once again highlight the navy/cognac combo. This outfit is definitely more out of my comfort zone (I don’t wear shorts very often!) but I’m excited to try out this dress as an open overcoat with other outfits this summer!

| MATERIAL | The dress is made up of Tencel which is made from natural wood fibers and is biodegradable! It feels super soft and very luxurious which adds a level of sophistication to the piece. It is thick enough so that it is not see through and I haven’t noticed any static issues. However, I did wear this dress on a very windy day and it does blow around quite a bit. Not a negative at all but more of a watch out 🙂
| FIT | I’m very into swing dress silhouettes and believe that it can be flattering on a variety of body types. What is particularly fun about this dress though is that it comes with a sash so you can make the dress more form fitting if you wish! Just another way that Vetta adds versatility to their clothes. And PS – they designed the sash so that you can wear it as a skinny scarf or as a cute bow around your neck for a little extra detail. I’d also throw in using it as a scarf headband! To me this dress fit true to size but Vetta also offers sizing tips and a size chart on each of their product pages.
| CARE | I haven’t washed the full dress yet but I did test out washing the sash. I washed it in cold water on my delicate/handwash cycle and hung it to dry. The material came out just like it was before washing! I love finding ethically made clothing that you can wash at home instead of dry cleaning. Makes it so much easier and a little nicer on the wallet 🙂
| DESIGN | This dress comes in two different colors (navy & black). I absolutely love the subtle details that they incorporated in the design to elevate this otherwise simple silhouette. To me the first one that catches your eye are the sleeves. Bell sleeves are very popular right now but the sleeves on this dress are subtle enough that they will be able to carry over for years to come. Next is the neckline detail. There is a subtle open weave pattern just under the neckline and is also around the top of the bell sleeves. This little touch adds so much more dimension to the piece but isn’t so dramatic that it takes away from the dress’ beautiful simplicity. Finally there are buttons all down the back (or front) of this dress! So adorable and practical! Now you can wear the dress as an overcoat, with the buttons in the front or in the back. It is really a piece that is made with sustainability at its core from the design to the material.
As always, thank you for stopping by and go check out Vetta’s other wonderful mini capsule collections. Here are some of my personal faves 🙂
