These guys are all over my Instagram. I wear them at least once a week because that’s how much I love them. I will say that these heels were given to me by Everlane to test out with no expectation of a post or official review. But since I honestly love them so much I wanted to provide a full and comprehensive review just in case you’ve had your eye on them 🙂

Everlane Day Heel Review

| COST | $145

| MATERIAL | These heels are made out of 100% italian leather and are made in Montopoli in Val D’Arno, Italy. The leather is not as thick or stiff as their loafers or oxfords but still feels sturdy. I can tell that they will soften nicely over time.

| FIT | These heels actually fit true to size. I am a normal size 7 in shoes and have normally had to go up half a size in everlane’s shoes. This was especially the case for the modern loafer and brixton boot but for the day heel my normal size worked perfectly. I’ve heard that some people have had issues with the scrunched back rubbing them and causing blisters. I personally have not had these issues but wanted to mention it. I had a slight rubbing on the tops of my toes after being on my feet for 8 hours. They didn’t cause any blisters but I did notice a little tenderness. I believe this was due to A. being on my feet all day and B. the shoes were still very new.

| COMFORT LEVEL | Comfort level is super high on this one. The heel height is 2” making it very manageable if you need to be on your feet all day. They should call them the All Day Heel…am I right?! Ha, sorry couldn’t help myself 🙂 I also really like the scrunched back because it gives the shoe a little extra wiggle room and it makes it not so tight on my heel/back part of my ankle.

| STYLING | I dare you to try and find an outfit that doesn’t work with these heels. When I’m looking to add a piece to my closet I always brainstorm to see how many outfits I can make with that new item to check its’ versatility. These babies have got the versatility factor on lock down! I would pair these beauties with anything from dresses/skirts to mom jeans and a tee – which I’ve already done 🙂 But for my look today I decided to keep it minimal by incorporating only two colors, olive & black. The oversized mock neck is my cozy piece while the tapered trousers and heels dress it up a bit. Top it off with a statement earring and classic bag and you’re ready for any lunch meeting!

| CLEANING | Everlane’s site suggests that you spray these with a leather protector. I personally like Kiwi’s Boot Protector (I used it on my Brixton Boots and it worked great!). I have yet to spray these but definitely will before I wear them out on a potentially rainy day. For every day up keep clean with a leather cleaner and mircrofiber cloth. For the suede version, treat with suede protectant.

Lovely review! Which leather protectant and polish do you use for your Everlane Modern Loafers?

Do you have a lot of items from Everlane? I also prefer to purchase quality items and have a very small wardrobe. I consider my style more European, with darker neutrals and basic items. I would like to replace a shirt and pants that I have had to throw away and was considering Everlane. What’s your review of their clothes and items?

      Hi Bianca,
I have a bunch of items from Everlane. They are my favorite for core/basic pieces. In the beginning I did have to figure out my size a bit. Some things the x-small was a little better while others my normal size small worked. For shoes I’ve normally had to go up half a size except in the day heel. Their tees that are around $15 feel like a $15 tee (not really thick) but they have held up wonderfully. I love their crew tee and am thinking about getting a few more colors. Overall I think they make great clothes and their customer service is spectacular if you do have any issues or need a different size. If you have any other questions please let me know!

Since I see that this blog was posted awhile ago, how comfortable have these heels become overtime? I am looking for a comfortable heel that is easy to pack (one bagging) and comfortable to wear all day (after breaking in, of course). My husband and I will be traveling to Europe this summer for our honeymoon and I am looking for a comfortable shoe that is still stylish.

      Hi Caitlin,
Congrats on your engagement/marriage! I still find these heels super comfortable and I wear them fairly regularly. I get compliments on them all the time too! Like I mentioned in the review, some people have had problems with the elastic rubbing them in the back but I have never had this problem. I would definitely recommend investing in a pair!
Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip and thank you for stopping by!

Hi! I’m just a random blog reader but these shoes were a big investment for me so I thought I’d give my 2 cents in case it is helpful. 🙂 My pair took longer than I expected to break in, but once they did, they are super comfortable all day long and the back part no longer bothers me one bit. I will say that in summer your feet might get sweaty in them. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and after several weeks of wearing regularly they were as comfy as Everlane promised.

        Hi Rachel,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the Day Heel and I’m so glad you love them. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a white leather pair in the future 🙂

    Leather sole, or not?

    • Allison Karaba March 1, 2018 at 9:20 pm

      Hi Judith,
I reached out to Everlane about this because I wasn’t sure and here is their response:
"The Day Heels have a tunit sole, a manmade leather alternative that we find are a bit more durable than a leather sole."
