FALL 10×10 – LOOK 1

Style Notes

I was a little unsure about this combination. Oversized & long top with a wide leg pant. However, I really like the proportions together and overall the outfit is extremely comfortable. The pants have a lovely stretch to them and oversized anything is always cozy! I’m really enjoying this new outfit formula. Long tunic (or oversized sweater) + wide leg crop + simple heel shoe. It feels modern and classy with little to no effort. A+

| OVERSIZED| If you remembered from my summer 10×10, specifically this outfit here, I wanted to keep playing with oversized top and wide bottom proportions. But my summer look was with an oversized crop top which complemented the wide bottom & let me showcase my waist. I’m happy to have discovered that this combo works just as well with a long oversized top!

| CROP LENGTH | there’s something about a crop length that feels so refreshing. It’s a little unexpected for this time of year but I just can’t put my crop pants away! If these pants had been full length wide leg the look might have felt a little to overwhelming in all of the oversized components. I’m going to keep the crop alive for as long as I can!

| STATEMENT | Statement necklaces have become a basic staple in my style. I love it when you put on an outfit and right away you know how to accessorize it. When I put on this look I immediately thought of the Persephone necklace by MGG. It’s bold and modern with its’ geometric shape and contrasting metals. The perfect accessory to add a focal point to the overall look!

| COLOR BLOCKS | I minored in art history in college and this outfit reminds me of a contemporary color block piece. Something a little more organic in nature than a Piet Mondrian but still segmented. As you know I’m loving cognac and I really enjoy it paired with this darker grey. I don’t currently own many grey pieces but I can see how it would easily blend into my wardrobe.

I love how very Fall-like your outfit is! I feel like I’m still trapped in summer, with temps today reaching into the 90s (heat index of 101). Thanks for letting me live vicariously in sweater-weather!

      Hi Krystal,
So happy that you enjoyed this look! I know balancing fall style can be tricky when it doesn’t feel like fall outside. I grew up in Georgia so I definitely know those struggles. I would burn a fall scented candle and grab some cold cider and hopefully that gives you some cozy fall vibes even if you have to have your a/c on!
