I really love this outfit. It is so simply and still sophisticated. This is one of those looks that I just added my blazer to as my outer layer and I love the result! Unfortunately this week calls for a ton of rain so I may need to trade out my ankle boots for rain boots for when I walk to work! In the past I always thought blazers were too stiff or stuffy for my style but by mixing them with more casual pieces they fit right in!
| SOPHISTICATED BASICS | I like to think of this look as my sophisticated basics. The base is really just a straight leg jean and mock neck white tee. Throw on a blazer and it instantly makes the outfit more intriguing.
| WARM ELEMENT | the cognac ankle boots and a nice warm element to this outfit which makes it feel so appropriate for fall. I first tried this outfit with my black heels and was planning on wearing it that way but decided to try my cognac boots instead and I love it! If you have an outfit put together for your 10×10 try switching up one element to see if you find another outfit that you love even more!
| KEEPING IT CASUAL | Besides the overall pieces (except for the blazer) being casual the colors also help play up the casual element. Pairing a lighter denim and a cognac ankle boot with the blazer helps infuse that easy going feel. If I had wanted to dress up this look (outside of my 10×10) I would pair either a black or dark blue denim and black heels or loafers with the blazer.
| SUBTLE ACCESSORIES | I wanted to keep the jewelry very minimal in this look to keep the feel of simplicity through out the outfit. You can barely see the necklace I wore in some of the shots! I decided to pair my hand necklace from Young Frankk with this look because it is such a unique piece and still very delicate in nature.
