SPRING 2017 10x10: LOOK 6
I hope you all had a nice weekend! Sunday nights are always the hardest for me. Mostly because it means in the morning it's Monday and Mondays and I don't sit well together. But I'm savoring the last bits of the weekend by lounging with cats and donuts as well as a little bit of apartment cleaning.
But this Sunday night, I'm happy to share look 6 with you! Going a little back in time for this one. Again, like most of my looks, it's super simple which I love. It's also super comfortable and who doesn't love a little neck scarf :) Overall this one is a winner in my book but I've gone into some more outfit details below!
| 50s VIBE | - I feel like this is something Rizzo would have worn in Greece. The defined waist, simple tucked in shirt & neck scarf. 100% 50s but I'm loving it! Now I just need to assemble my pink ladies ;) But what really updates this look for me is the raw hem jeans and blush tones. I love drawing from past fashion eras and seeing how they come back to life with a modern spin. This has inspired me to do a little research for more outfit inspiration by looking at past icons instead of fast fashion trends!
| BANDANA | - I'm loving silk bandanas. Like really loving them. It's a fun accessory to add to any outfit and you can wear them in so many different ways! And not only can you wear them but they are adorable tied around your handbag! I'm thinking of having a bandana styling session and sharing some of my findings here soon!
| PLAIN WHITE TEE | - I touched on this item in my third look but wanted to give more a review this time around. In my closet journey I've actually had a hard time finding good basics. Tees either felt too stiff or were too thin to the point they were see through. This one from Everlane is extra comfy. First off it's only $16. Nothing in sustainable fashion aside from buying secondhand is $16. It's also made from 100% cotton and not see through! I've only washed it a couple times but so far it's holding up well. I'm already thinking about what other colors I'll add to my closet! I can see this working for pjs at night, going for a run or paired with your favorite crop pants. It's a truly versatile piece! So if you're in the market for a basic crew definitely check this one out!
| OXFORDS | - At first I paired my clogs with this look (shocker). But decided that those lovelies needed a list rest so opted for my oxfords. Once again I've gone for subtle cohesiveness with the bandana matching the oxfords. It's just enough to add some color but not overpower the entire look.
