ELIZABETH SUZANN: GEORGIA VS LINN REVIEW

Happy Wednesday! We're already half way through the week! Today I'm sharing a review of two of my favorite tops, the Elizabeth Suzann Georgia Tee in linen & the Elizabeth Suzann Linn Tee in cotton poplin. I honestly love both of these shirts for different reasons. The linn tee is great for layering with it's crop cut and oversized shape while the georgia tee has replaced some of my traditional v-neck tees as my "throw on so I can run to the store" top. The linn is a little bit dressier while the georgia is great for everyday wear. Below I share some more details on fit, cut, material and styling just in case you can't decided which one you want to invest in.

Linn Tee in Cotton Poplin

| COST | $130

| MATERIAL | I’m absolutely in love with the material of this shirt. In my mind it’s a modern feminine twist on the classic oxford button up. The cotton poplin is insanely crisp & light and feels amazing against your skin. Before it arrived, I was afraid it would be too stiff but was happy to find that the material already has a nice softness to it and has become even softer with time. However, I am a little concerned with how this top will transition into fall. This piece was from the Warm Weather Collection so it is not necessarily meant for colder months but I believe with layering it will be able to transition in nicely.

| CUT | The cut of this shirt is an A+ in my book. It has a subtle high-low hem which makes it appear very slim from the side. Sometimes I’ve found cropped oversized shirts to appear to boxy and just look awkward when tucked in. The high-low cut allows this shirt to sit flat when tucked in so you can avoid unwanted awkward bulging.

| FIT | For reference, I’m 5’5” and wear a 34C in bra size. In this top I’m wearing the OS and it is a perfect fit. The shirt is oversized but it isn’t overwhelming due to the high low cut. The front of the shirt hits just a smidge below the thinnest part of my waist making it nice to tuck into high waist pants but still give that high waist crop top look when untucked.

| CARE | I have not washed this shirt yet, I always try to air things out and limit washing pieces too often, but the care for this top states machine wash cold & tumble dry warm. I always appreciate a sustainably made garment that can we thrown in a washer!

| STYLE | Pair this top for skinny jeans and heels for a basic sophisticated look for drinks with the girls or throw on some wide leg linen pants for a relaxed c’est la vie look.

Georgia Tee in Linen

| COST | $145

| MATERIAL | Linen will always have my heart. Before I found the Elizabeth Suzann brand I had never considered buying a piece in linen. Before I had always found it stiff, scratchy and too much like a potato sack. This was because I had only come into contact with poorly made linen. Now after finding and understanding quality linen it’s one of my favorite materials. I’ve had this top for over a year now and it has soften to this beautiful huggable perfection while still maintaining its’ shape.

| CUT | My favorite thing about this top is the sleeve detail. I love how the sleeves wing out just ever so slightly. It adds a nice subtle geometric element. The length is longer than the linn and it does not have the same high low cut. The material allows it to tuck in nicely whether that’s a full tuck or half.

| FIT | Again for reference I’m 5’5” and my bra size is 34C and I have this top in OS as well. It is oversized but not to the extent that the linn tee is. If you’re not into the crop top look then the Georgia Tee would be a better option for you.

| CARE | Since I have had this shirt for a while I’ve washed it several times. The linen has held up well and has become even softer. The care instructions say to hand or machine wash on gentle cycle in cold water then tumble dry low. Again easy maintenance is always the way to go!

| STYLE | i like to pair this top with my skinny linen pants for a comfy look and dress it up with a maxi or midi skirt for evenings.
