Another 10×10 Challenge in the books! For this 10×10 challenge wrap up, I decided to look back at my 2017 Summer 10×10 and see how my style has changed! Last year had way more flow while this year had some more form fitting pieces. I was also very into bold necklaces last year. Now I’m more focused on light layering when it comes to my accessories.
One of the things I love about this space is that I can look back and see how my style has changed and how trends within my own style come and go. I always try to incorporate pieces that feel true to my style but am aware that it is evolving over time. Something that is very important to me is that I never feel stuck or stagnant in my wardrobe even if I’m striving towards a minimal closet. I think it’s important to note that having a capsule wardrobe or minimal closet doesn’t mean you can’t experiment or evolve your style. It is just a great way to be more conscious about your consumption and discover what you truly love.
But you don’t have to have a blog to keep track of your style! Snap a selfie in the mirror or keep a closet journal and track your own trends!
Now that I’m done venturing down outfit memory lane 🙂 I’m going to share a recap of my 2018 summer 10×10 picks, my 10 outfits and what I learned so let’s dive in!
Summer 10×10 Picks
Overall I loved all of my picks and I was super happy with how the pieces mixed together. I also stuck to a pretty simple color palette and was really glad that I included a print dress. It kept me from getting bored with my black, white, cognac color palette and was super fun to play with!

Summer 10×10 Outfits
There were definitely some favorites and least favorites in my 10×10. For favorites I loved looks 1, 2,5, & 10. Least favorite, I guess there was only one, was look number 8. I’m just not into such form fitting looks! But overall I think it was a very successful challenge.
What I Learned
One of my goals for this 10×10 was to play around with my shorts more. I’m not a huge fan of shorts and I wanted to use this challenge as a way to force myself to incorporate them into my wardrobe. By doing this, I realized I’m not a fan of form fitting shorts. I much more prefered my linen white shorts from Elizabeth Suzann than my black canvas pair from Everlane.
Shorts are unfortunately a necessary component in my wardrobe when it’s 90+ degrees but now I know to look for flowy options instead of form fitting.
Thank you for following along and if you didn’t join in on the summer 10×10 challenge you can always try it out this fall 🙂
